Going in to take finals…
While taking finals and realizing you don’t remember any of the material, either that or you froze up…
This is how I feel right now…
Probably next week I’ll be like…
then the week of finals…
then when I’m actually taking finals…
then after it’s all over…
then winter break!!!
at least there is something to look forward to.
I regret nothing.
The caring mother held both of her sons closely to her heart and stroked their hair. The boys closed their royal eyes shut and drowned in their mother’s arms of love and praise. The mother then sent the boys to bed with a kiss on their heads and on their rosy cheeks. One son gave a kiss back; the other did not. One son said ‘goodnight’; the other did not. The mother smiled sweetly as she left her sons in their room to rest and she shut the door gently behind her.
“Lucas, why didn’t you say ‘goodnight’ to mother?” the older brother asked the younger brother.
“I did,” Lucas simply replied back. He got into his bed and threw the bed sheets over his head, an attempt in trying to ignore his brother.
“No you didn’t” the older brother by two years snapped. He then too flung himself into his bed and made himself comfortable.
“Go to bed Tilo, and leave me be,” Lucas rolled his eyes. And Tilo did what his younger brother wanted, quietness. But this did not last long.
“Lucas?” Tilo called to his brother quietly. “Lucas?” No response. “Lucas? Um, Lu-“
“What do you want?” Lucas shouted, annoyed. “I really would like to go to bed.”
Tilo was silent, but was still aimlessly starting at his brother.
“Never mind,” Tilo smiled and turned to face away from his brother. Lucas was now curious, instead of annoyed and frustrated. His luminous green eyes sparkled and he perked his ears to listen to his brother’s words. Tilo was easily convinced and faced his brother.
“Do you think…do you think that we both could become King of Asmark?”
“I don’t understand,” Lucas whimpered.
“Father said to me, that when we grow up to be strong enough, he will choose who will become King of Asmark to follow his footsteps. I then asked him if we both could, and he said ‘no, there can only be one king’. What does that mean, brother? ‘One king’? What does it mean?” Tilo’s amber eyes begged Lucas for an answer. Lucas had always been the smarter one, but poor Lucas did not have an answer for his brother.
“I do not know in the slightest clue. Perhaps, mother can explain more?”
“Yes, maybe she can. Let us ask her in the morning,” Tilo grinned and reached to turn off the lamp on the bedside table.
“Alright, we will ask mother tomorrow. Goodnight, Tilo.” Lucas then wrapped himself in the bed covers.
“Goodnight, brother,” and Tilo turned off the light. But as soon as Tilo switched off the light, he heard the smooth breathing of his brother falling into sleep. Tilo smiled to himself, yet he felt ashamed. He did not want to tell Lucas the other statement Father had said to him. Father had also told Tilo that the probable King of Asmark would be him, Tilo.
